Dr. Sarita Yadav Rao is a highly accomplished Senior Interventional Cardiologist with over 25 years of experience in cardiovascular medicine, encompassing complex coronary interventions, advanced cardiac imaging, heart failure management, device therapy, and renal denervation. She currently serves as the Director of the Cath Lab at Apollo Hospitals, Indore, where she has been instrumental in advancing high-risk and complex interventional cardiology services.

Dr. Sarita Rao completed her MBBS from MGM Medical College, followed by MD in Internal Medicine from Patna Medical College. She earned her DNB in Internal Medicine and later completed DM in Cardiology from the L.P.S. Institute of Cardiology, Kanpur. She holds valid medical registrations with the Bihar, Delhi, and Madhya Pradesh Medical Councils.

Professional Appointments

She began her consultant career at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, New Delhi (2007–2010) and has since been associated with Apollo Hospitals, Indore, where she leads interventional cardiology services. She has also served as a Specialist Cardiologist with ESIC Model Hospital, Indore.

Dr. Sarita Rao’s career is defined by her expertise in complex coronary interventions, left main and bifurcation PCI, CTO interventions, mechanical circulatory support, intravascular imaging (IVUS/OCT), atherectomy, and advanced calcium modification techniques.
